Hairstyles for Various Ages

Just because you’re getting older, it doesn’t mean you have to cut your hair. Often time’s people think that long hair makes one look older. This is not actually true. What is really true is that it depends on the person.  If you look young for your age, and your hair looks good then why not leave it longer than people your age?

When you are a woman in college, you tend to what your hair grow very long.  By the time you graduate, you are ready for a change and you cut your hair.  Upon seeing this hair, you hate it so you let it grow out. It may not be as long and untamed as it was when you’re in college, but it definitely isn’t short.  If you’re in your teens or early 20s, the typical length to wear your hair is below the shoulders.

This style is usually one length or layered. It shows a more youthful look.  When you get to your late 20s to 30s, your hair begins to get shorter and shorter. It also begins to develop a style of some kind. The length of this hairstyle is normally between the shoulders and the nape of the neck.  By the time you reach your early 50s, your hair is really short. It is usually styled like this for convenience. Sometimes a haircut is even as short as a man’s haircut.

Just because you get older doesn’t mean your hair has to be chopped off.  You can still have a sophisticated hairstyles regardless of your age. It can be even longer than what is accepted. What matters is what looks good on you. If you look good with longer hair than you should keep long hair, if you look good with your hair then keep it short.
